Twisted Olive Brings Fun & Flavor To Bethlehem

From entrees to desserts, to the infusion bar, we can’t get enough of Twisted Olive.

Check out our Fig Table feature below, meet the team behind the magic, and plan your visit!

    The Look: Colorful & Casual

“We like to say the atmosphere at Twisted Olive is casual, fun, energetic, and definitely at times twisted,” said Chef Steve Kershner. “The environment here can be described as fresh—be it from all of our garden vegetables and herbs, to our fig trees, to our house infusions we use in all of our cocktails.”

This refreshing outlook on a dining experience keeps customers coming back for more—whether they want to sit at the bar, or have a party with friends at one of the many tables in the open, colorful space.

    The Menu: Totally Twisted

“Our menu can be described as Bistro style, with a world twist,” said Chef Steve. “During the season, all of our vegetables and herbs come from our very own garden, and we also support the local farms.”

The cuisine is made even better with local, fresh ingredients used to create unique flavors.

“We feel that one of the things that sets our menu apart form others would be our appetizer selection,” said Chef Steve. “Also, we feature all of our own house smoked meats, including the pastrami.”

In addition to what Steve mentioned above, the menu boasts an eclectic array of tastes and flavors. We love the pasta (like the BLT Bucatini, Fettuccine Al Capriccio), the variety of entrees (Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Bacon Wrapped Pork Mignon), the small & large plates (Spiced Calamari, Short Rib Ravioli, Twisted BBQ Shrimp, Edamame Hummus), and house-smoked sandwiches (Italian Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket).

In The Kitchen With Chef Kershner

We chatted with Chef Steve Kershner to get the inside look at his experience and his desire to provide creative food to the Bethlehem foodie scene.

“I have over forty-five years of experience in the restaurant field throughout the Lehigh Valley and Europe,” said Chef Steve. “From a very young age, it was always my plan to be a chef and cook for a living.”

Chef Steve credits his wife, Sherri, as a strong motivator for him. The confidence she holds in him and her drive are huge motivators for him to keep creating these fantastic dishes at Twisted Olive.

“Being able to engage with guests and overseeing the restaurant are both motivators,” said Chef Steve. “I love to enjoy Bethlehem as a whole, all the area has to offer, and the growth of the community. It is full of wonderful, loyal people.”
